I love these kinda snow shots, bit of shadow from early morning/late afternoon sun looks great!!

There is a certain peace you feel when you wake that early in the morning. I'm glad that translated into the photo!

I'm hoping to go visit the snow this winter, hopefully I get an opportunity to go out early and go shooting!!

*sigh* This almost doesn't look real. The snow is so untouched, and the trees are so surreal-looking, all the same size with the speckles coming up to the same place on their bark. The echo of the blue of the sky in the shadows is just stunning. And such mountains in the background!!

I think the best part of this photo for me, though, is the composition - such strong horizontal against strong vertical, and the angle that it's taken at that makes the trees loom just the right amount. Heh. I love nature shots.

I definately will post some snow pics....probably wont be for a few months as it is just in early Autumn at the moment.
